Indicators of rural resilience for four rural towns in New Zealand

This data presents indicators related to the resilience of rural communities for four North Island towns: Dannevirke, Huntly, Taumaruniu and Te Kuiti. The data is collected from publicly available official statistics and surveys. The data was collated in 2017 for the purposes of research into the link between indicators of resilience, and communities’ self-ratings of resilience.

The research was undertaken by AgResearch and PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand and funded by AgResearch and the Our Land and Water National Science Challenge.

A description of that research and its first findings are available at http://www.ourlandandwater.nz/assets/Uploads/Testing-indicators-of-resilience-for-rural-communities.pdf

This dataset is not planned to be updated.
