Project Description
Online monitoring of high-voltage transmission lines and bush fire system can perform all-weather, real-time monitoring of the operating conditions of high-voltage transmission lines operating in harsh environments, which can effectively reduce the construction of surrounding lines (dangerous points), wire icing, wind skew, large line spans, wire hanging foreign objects. In addition, it can also detect and monitor if someone climb the tower or not. At the same time, since most of the high-voltage towers are in the suburbs, the online monitoring system can also be used to detect and monitor some disasters. For example, bush fires.
Data Story
Queensland Government Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS) data:
If the high voltage tower is near the area that easily cause bush fire, we can put the device on the tower, then it will detect and monitor the bush fire.
NSW Burnt Area - Combined bush fire incident extents:
If there are high voltage tower near or in the NSW burnt area, and we can put the devices on the tower to detect and monitor the bush fire.
Decadal Forest Fire Danger Index (2006-2096):
We can check the Decadal Forest Fire Danger Index, then if the high voltage tower is near the higher index, then we can put our device on the tower to monitor the bush fire.
Open Street Map - Tasmania:
We can use it to check the high voltage tower which is in the forest. We put our device on the tower, and monitor the bush fire or other damages that cause to high voltage line.
LIST irrigation hydro power station:
To see the irrigation hydro power station, some station has the high voltage tower.
LIST Fire History:
If the high voltage tower is near the place which often has fire, we can put our device on that high voltage tower.
